Emmett grew up in the small rural town of Stayner, Ontario before attending the University of Guelph, where he completed his Bachelor’s in Agriculture. He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Ontario Veterinary College and stayed on for a year as a small animal rotating intern.

Emmett recently completed a residency in Anesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, finishing this past July. He's very excited to trade snow and freezing temperatures for Charleston sunshine!

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through running and CrossFit, fueling up on (more than his fair share of) coffee, and exploring new food spots. He's looking forward to getting to know everyone here and sampling everything Charleston’s food scene has to offer!
