Sarah Dalzell, DVM

Sarah Dalzell, DVM
Dr. Sarah Dalzell’s passion for veterinary medicine began at a very young age with her first family dog, inspiring a lifelong dedication to animal care and the human-animal bond. From early on, she recognized the profound impact pets have on their families and knew she wanted to play a role in improving their lives.
Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Dalzell worked as a veterinary assistant for seven years while completing both her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. This experience gave her a strong appreciation for the collaborative nature of veterinary medicine and the important role every team member plays in supporting patients and their families.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Dalzell completed the Ethos ER Immerse Program, an intensive, hands-on emergency medicine mentorship program, during her first six months at CVRC. Through this advanced training, she further developed her skills in emergency and critical care medicine and is now a valued member of the emergency doctor team. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, client communication, and providing compassionate care during some of the most stressful moments for both pets and their owners.
Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area, Dr. Dalzell later lived in Columbus while attending veterinary school. Sports have always been a big part of her life and family culture, and she played collegiate softball during her undergraduate years. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through running, weightlifting, hiking, and long walks, and she remains a devoted Cleveland sports fan.
Dr. Dalzell is married to her high school sweetheart, Tyler, and together they share life with their Golden Retriever, Buzz, who keeps them smiling and active. Relocating to the Charleston area had long been a dream for them, drawn by the beaches, warm weather, and vibrant food scene.
